Q: Why choose us for your made to measure blinds?
A: With over 40 years of experience in the industry and in Cambridge, we pride ourselves on having an extensive knowledge of the different blind types and where they will and will not work. From fitting blinds in houses, schools, offices and many more environments, we have built up a portfolio allowing us to provide the best made to measure blind solution for your window requirements. Being a local family business, customer service is of great importance to us so we aim to go the extra mile in ensuring you have a pleasant experience using us (we hope our reviews reflect this!).
Q: What areas do you service?
A: We offer appointments in the city of Cambridge and the surrounding areas within a 10 mile radius (if you are unsure whether we cover your area or not then please do not hesitate to ask us).
Q: Which blinds do you supply and install?
A: We offer a wide range of made to measure blinds including the ones mentioned on our products page - with the exception of shutters, shaped roof blinds and Velux/skylight blinds.
Q: When are your appointment times?
A: We are able to offer appointments Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer weekend appointments due to personal commitments.
Q: Do you have a call out fee?
A: We do not charge a call out fee. We offer a free, no obligation appointment on a home visit basis with no follow up marketing or pressure. There is also no additional charge for the fitting of your made to measure blinds. Our prices are inclusive of VAT and have no hidden fees.
Q: Do the blinds come with a warranty?
A: Yes, all our blinds come with a one year manufacturer’s warranty however even beyond this period we will always attend and try to repair any blind issues.
Q: Do you repair or clean blinds?
A: We are only able to offer repairs to blinds that were originally fitted by us as part of our follow up service. Following your blind(s) fitting, we will always offer advice on how to keep your newly fitted blinds looking their best. For areas which may be subject to high levels of grime or dirt, we would always recommend our range of easy, wipe clean fabrics.
Q: What are your lead times?
A: All of our quotes are sent with an up to date lead time which we check regularly with our various suppliers. On average all of our blinds and curtains take between 3 and 5 weeks depending on the blind type, fabric and specification. We are able to offer a fast track on certain blind types and fabrics so please ask for more information.
Q: Where are your blinds manufactured?
A: All of our blinds are manufactured here in the UK, by established companies that we have used for many years. This means all of our blinds comply with EU standards and regulations.
Q: Where can I see samples?
A: On the home visit appointment, we bring along all our samples and swatches for you to browse through. We can also follow this up with online links to view and order your own samples allowing you more time to make the correct decision.
Q: Do you only offer domestic blinds?
A: No we also supply and fit made to measure blinds to the commercial market. This ranges from offices to science laboratories. For many years now we have been on the preferred supplies list for a number of Cambridge’s colleges and universities.
Q: Do you sub contract work to other fitters?
A: No you always meet the same team - Sean and Jake - for the measure up appointment right through to the installation visit.
