Shading for saving energy

By 2050, the average number of days per year that Europe requires air conditioning will have increased by around 30%. That's according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. ☀️

In fact, in the week of Global Shading Day, around six million additional air conditioning units will have been sold globally.

More air conditioning units means increased energy demand for cooling in buildings and the associated greenhouse gas emissions.

#GlobalShadingDay raises the question of how we can be more energy efficient...

Building modelling has shown external shading can reduce air conditioning costs by up to 54% and, in one study, internal shading generated a 16% saving (Source NEF report, 2016)

We can help you create effective shading solutions. 🙌 Visit our website to find out more XXX
